Introduction to Color Theory for Cardmakers lays the foundation by exploring primary, secondary, and tertiary colors, along with essential color schemes such as monochromatic, analogous, complementary, split-complementary, double-complementary (tetradic), and triadic. You’ll see clear example boxes, bold design demonstrations, and projects that highlight contrast, including black, white, and pop-of-color designs.
Comprehensive Color Theory for Cardmakers builds on that foundation with a deeper dive into hues, tones, tints, and shades, color balance using the 60/30/10 rule, and the psychology of color. You’ll learn how to create contrast with neutrals, understand warm vs. cool colors, use glazing and complementary shading, and apply advanced schemes like double-complementary designs through guided videos and exercises.
