Altenew September 2022 Enchanted Winter Collection Blog Hop: 2 Ways to Add Color to 3D Embossed Images

I used two different 3D embossing folders from this release to create my cards today. Both are absolutely gorgeous and the detail is amazing. 

For my first card I used the Poinsettia Cluster. I added color and shading to the flowers after embossing them with distress ink. Altenew’s tiny detail shading brushes were great to get in and color the centers. After I colored them I trimmed them out and adhered them over a navy card base. I added a few gold spatters onto the background too! 

For my second card I used the new Berried Cotoneaster. I used distress inks again, this time to create a halo around my image. I colored the actual embossed image with my Altenew Artist Markers. The detail in the embossing makes it so easy to have the look of dimensional coloring.
