Hello Crafters!
I have a fun no-line coloring card for you today. We’re taking this cute cupcake from the Sweet Holiday set and using it to create an autumn themed birthday card.
My original thought was to create a little cupcake on display in a store window but that’s not exactly how it came out lol. It’s okay part of creating it just rolling with it.
I stamped my leaves in white pigment ink and then heat embossed in white detail embossing powder before doing some distress ink blending over top of the leaves. I trimmed them out to create a border for my “window.”
I colored up the cupcake stamp and fancy cake die with copic markers. When coloring no line stamped images with copic markers it’s extremely import to go in and map out your lines before you start coloring the entire image. No line coloring can turn into blobs really fast without the lines to guide you. I chose to do mine with my lightest color but you can do this with a neutral like my friend Dawn did here. Her video is amazing and uses the cupcake for the holiday season.
You can see my technique and the whole card come together in the video below.
I love the way the card came together even though it wasn’t exactly what I had in mind at the beginning.
Please let me know if you’d like to see more no-line tutorials in the future.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Can’t wait to try this set.
Thank you! Love your coloring tips.
