Welcome to Comprehensive Color Theory for Cardmakers

Hello Crafters! I’m so glad you’re continuing on with the series. In Comprehensive Color Theory for Cardmakers, we’ll take the foundation from Introduction to Color Theory for Cardmakers and go deeper, focusing on how to intentionally use color to create balance, contrast, and mood in your card designs. You’ll explore hues, tones, tints, and shades, learn practical tools like the 60/30/10 rule, and see how color psychology, warm and cool colors, and neutrals can completely change the feel of a design.

This class is very hands-on, with exercises, examples, and videos that show how techniques like glazing, shading with complements, and advanced color schemes work in real cardmaking projects. As you move through the lessons, take time to experiment and revisit sections as needed—this is about building confidence, not perfection. Be sure to join the wrap-up day and live stream so we can connect and bring everything together.

Thank you for being here and allowing me to share a small part of your creative journey. I can’t wait to see how these tools elevate your cardmaking and help you design with intention every time.

You do not need the exact items I am using to be successful in class. Because this is an evergreen series that will teach you a specific skill set you can be successful with products you already own. However, I know some people like to have the exact products so I will list the products and the landing page here for your convenience.

I’m so excited to see you in class!
