This month’s Studio Release is all about the holidays. I used the Clear Stamp & Die and the Fancy Die of the Month for my cards today. I also used the Peeking Gingerbread Man Fancy Die and and the Holly Berries Stamp & Cut XL.
I recently had the opportunity to try Hero Arts White Acrylic Spray and I have to tell you guys, I am loving it. I decided to use it to add a snowy effect to my cards and then from there I just kept trying it for different things and it did not disappoint!
First, I used it over some ink blending to create a snowy type background. I did have some trouble getting it to spray a less concentrated but I quickly realized that was because I failed to clean it before putting it away. You have to wipe the nozzle before putting it away or it will clog.
I also used it to paint on white highlights to my pine boughs and candy cane. The opacity is fantastic. I was able to use it to paint in the icing details on my gingerbread man in just one pass.
I have tried several of the opaque white inks on the market and this one really works nicely! There’s so many different ways you can use it!
I love this peeking gingerbread man. He’s a great focal point with his sweet little candy cane.
This card is a little bit busier but I think the “snow” from the acrylic spray adds lots of fun texture. A little bit of lacquer adds such great shine to the lights.
