Shake it Up! Independent Shakers

Hello Crafters!

I have a bright and fun clean and simple card for you guys. I really love the bright colors with this one. They’re so fun!

I wanted to make each little tree it’s own separate color so I decided to make them each their own independent shaker element. This is a great way to make shakers easier o work with or use them on something besides a card.

I die cut one larger triangle tree and two slightly smaller to be my shaker elements. Next I combined two of the tree dies to create a frame that I cut out of of both white cardstock and craft foam. If you don’t have foam you could cut multiple frames and stack them together to build the edge barrier or you can cut foam adhesive. The last piece is the window, to create this you’ll want to use your larger triangle for each tree and die cut some acetate.

I chose to color mine with distress inks but you could cut them out of colored cardstock to save time. Once the coloring was done I adhered the colored frame to my acetate. Then adhere your foam piece. I find it easier to fill the shakers by flipping them over and adding in my shaker bits, in this case rhinestones, and then put the back on like a lid. Once the “lid” is adhered your free standing shaker is ready to go on whatever you’d like!

I really love the clean and simple look of this one because those pretty little trees just POP off the card.
