I used the new Holiday Street Stamp and Stencils to create this sweet snowy scene. Doesn’t it look like a postcard?! I love how adding the ink blending to the stamp gives a soft shadow to the snow.
Since I wanted a night scene with lit up windows I did go back into the houses and trees to add same darker shadows. The darker shading also helps the lit up windows and those snowy roof tops really POP.
Speaking of snowy roofs, I wanted to add some more texture to my scene and really give the feel of a soft snowy night. I used an embossing pen and white puff embossing powder to create snow on the rooftops, trees, and street. To make it look like it’s snowing I used Copic opaque white ink and it spattered over the whole card.
To complete the card I heat embossed my sentiment in white on navy and die cut it with it’s coordinating die. I cut a frame using the Blanket Stitched Rectangles and added a few Glacier Jewels to accent the sentiment.
