Soo this little lady is the smallest in the release but she sure did capture my heart. I think sometimes the little guys get overlooked but I promise you they still make great cards. I mean, just look at the sassy bunny strutting across the beach with her adorable bag and fancy glasses. She and I would be friends.
Because I have my one sassy girl as a focal point I knew I would need to create a lot of interest with my background. Actually, that’s how the card started. I was talking to a friend who suggested I make some kind of sand. And that led to creating different textures to add interest.
To create the textures I used a combination of ink blending and embossing powders. Since I created a little mini scene I stamped the Beach Background in the same blues I used for the ocean and used it as a mat for the scene panel.
Here is a close up of the sand texture created with the embossing powder. It’s really lovely in person. I’ll definitely be using it again in the future.
