The Easiest Winter Trees

Hello Crafters!

Since the redesign on the website is now live I’m going to try to be better about sharing on the blog more often. Since everything is new here please feel free to create an account and sign up for notifications so you don’t miss anything happening over here 🙂

For today’s cards I’m sharing a quick and easy way to add some winter trees to your cards. I used one in a scene with some cute Christmas friends and another I chose to do a bit more elegant with just a scripty font sentiment.

So first how are we doing it? Easy, CHISEL TIP MARKERS! Chisel tips are they easiest and fastest way to create winter trees because they already have a flat straight edge you can create thick or thin lines with. For this card I used just two colors to create a little forest pathway of trees for my Christmas friends to walk in.

For my more elegant card I wanted to really create some depth so I used three colors. The lighter color makes the trees look further away but the darker colors brings those trees forward.

You can see both cards come together in the video below

This technique is great for both beginning colorists and advanced cardmarkers who want to add a unique look to their cards.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you found something to inspire you today!
