Hero Arts is full on celebrating their birthday this month and I’m here for it. I love that the Classic Kit has coordinating dies so you can add lots of dimension. And the watercolor?! Yes, Please!

The Premium Kit really drew me in this month. That red rubber background is great for so many celebrations and since they threw in all these gorgeous embellishments I couldn’t not use them! . I’m a sucker for pretty embellishments.

I knew straight away that I wanted to watercolor that gorgeous balloon background. I used several of my liquid watercolors to create a rainbow look. I stamped it in Unicorn White Pigment ink and heat embossed it for the easiest watercolor session 🙂

Once the watercolor was dry I went in with my Copics on just the balloons to make them pop. I was careful to avoid my heat embossing but if you do get some on your embossing you can quikly clean it up with a colorless blender. Once I was done with the coloring I sprayed some Hero Arts White Iridescent Spray over the whole background.

Since sequins were included in the kit I figured why not make a shaker? Doesn’t that make every congratulations or birthday card more fun? I think so! I used the Rectangle Infinity Dies to cut out a frame. I then adhered the smaller rectangle to a black card base. I added the acetate and some foam adhesive to the outside frame before filling my shaker with those pretty sequins.

The sentiment was heat embossed in white as well but this time on black. I accented it with a few enamel dots in blue.

I’m maybe working on a video but we’ll have to see lol. In the meantime please continue on the hop to the wonderful Essie for more inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by!
