Weekly Recap & Memorial Day Sales

Hello Crafters!

I hope you all are having a great weekend! We’re planning on another birthday celebration and a little cookout.

I have done an absolutely terrible job of keeping up on this blog. I knew that it was going to be hard for me to get back into the groove but I had no idea it would be nearly impossible. In an effort to stay more on top of it I’m going to do a weekly recap of the cards and videos I put out. That way I’m only responsible for one post you guys get limited emails. 🙂

First Things first there is an enormous amount of sales this weekend. You can check them out on my Deals page. Shopping through my affiliate links is a great way to support me and my content without any additional cost to you. I appreciate you.

Now let’s get to the cards we made this week!

We started the week off with this pretty no line coloring card. I used my watercolors and no line stamping ink to create this soft, simple sympathy card. You can check out the video below and all the products are in the description on youtube. I’ll get better about including links in the post in the future 😉

That two brush method is amazing. I’ll definitely be practicing it more in the future. This next card is all about the drama.

Did you know that most stamp companies have either colored images on their packaging or on their website? These pre-colored images are a great guide if you aren’t super comfortable with knowing where the shading goes quite yet.

I love a bit of drama in my cards. The different shades and textures of black in the layers add a ton of interest to the card without competing with those bright bold colors on our focal point.

I played around a ton with my Betterpress and to see what types of techniques I could get to work. I discovered a way to use my hot foil plates to letterpress with or without the help of my Glimmer Hot Foil machine.

Anything that lets me create lots and lots of cards is a win in my book. I’m frequently trying to refill my stash of Birthday cards as those are the ones I use the most.

Last but not least is my Peanut’s birthday card. Can you believe he’s 11?! Me either. He specifically requested a Ford Truck party and a shaker card. Que Me making a non shaker die into a shaker card lol.

This one was so fun to make. Probably because it was for someone so special.

Thank you guys so much for stopping by! I’ll try to be back next week with another recap. Fingers crossed!
