Hero Arts Studio Hop July 2024: 1 Stencil 4 Ways

This month’s Hero Studio is all about the SEA! There’s something for everyone with all the new monthly mini’s they have. I used the Clear Stamp & Die set for two of my cards today along with a few of the extraordinary extras. Specifically the Pebbles & Stones Stencil.

I think often times stencils like this one can get over looked when they are really versatile. I used this one stencil four ways to create my cards today. I can think of several other ways I didn’t even hit yet lol.

First things first, use the stencil as intended. Here I created a stone background for my fish. I used a combination of ink blending and Copic markers to add dimension to my background. The Tropical Fish work so well with this to create a really neutral Birthday card.

For this card I switched up the color palette to use the pebbles as water in my background. I paired it with the mermaid from this month’s clear stamp & die set. I left her on a clean white background matted with Peacock cardstock.

For this card I used the stencil to create some surf in my waves meeting the sand. You don’t need to do much to this card since the background already looks like beautiful pattern paper. I used a sentiment and some elements from Nautical Messages to make a wedding card with a sweet beach collage.

Last but not least I used a portion of the stencil to create the background for my scene card. The pattern fades off about 3/4 of the way down the card and adds interest to the scene without overwhelming. Images from all three sets were used to create this card and it is definitely a favorite for me!
