Multiple Unique Cards, Same Products, Minimal Waste

We all want to get more out of our supplies right? But there’s not too many of us that want to make the same card over and over again. Have you tried making unique cards by “piggy backing” one design off another? That’s what I did here and came up with five different designs. AND I could have kept going!

The first element I started with was the Falling Brick Wall die. After die cutting it out of white cardstock I laid it down onto a second piece of white cardstock. I added Distress Ink over top along with Distress Spray Stain and Paper Glaze. I then peeled up my die cut and was left with….

This background that had been “stenciled” through the die cut. I added some die cut leaves on either side of my sentiment. These leaves and the large fern die from the first card left me with negative die cuts that turned into two more cards.

For the background of this one I made sure to place the die cuts to fill out the whole background. I fit the leaves back into the background to make it easier to add ink, paste, and sprays. You do need to pop out the leaves quickly. If you let them dry you won’t be able to get them back out easily.

In the first and second card we used the negative as a stencil and I did the same here with the large fern. To switch up the sentiment I trimmed the “L” into an “I” and added a heat embossed sentiment. The negative we used to stencil was turned into a card too!

I adhered the negative die cut over some dark green cardstock and popped up the negative from of my other sentiments over top. This one is my favorite. Which one is yours?
